Prior to 2008/09 application to the BHRDCA for financial assistance by affiliates in various forms has been regularly invited at delegates' meetings. Although grant and cheap/interest free loan applications have been an offer not yet sought, a number of other direct assistance options such as deferred bill payment, subsidies and rebates had been accessed by affiliates. With the association's continued financial growth your committee resolved prior to the start of season 2008/09 to formalize the application process for these offers and increase promotion of such opportunities. To that end grant and other guidelines together with a formal application process has been progressively established to compliment pre-existing external funding sources.
It should be noted that appropriate BHRDCA assistance for any affiliate member club or association subjected to an extraordinary unforeseeable need (eg. as a result of natural disaster) may still be granted outside of these programmes on a case by case basis at the Committee of Management's discretion.
