The first of two Orientation to Coaching courses will be hosted by the Vermont South CC at their Livingston Primary School ground (Hanover Rd Vermont South - Mel: 62.G7) on Mon 15 Sep '08. This non-accredited course will begin at 7:30pm and go for 2.5 hours at no charge to members of BHRDCA or ECA clubs. A second course will be held at Camberwell Sports Ground 8 Oct '08. EAST BURWOOD-BENNETTSWOOD CC(posted 5 Aug '08) Ladies Dine-Out for Breast Cancer
On Sat 25 Oct '08 the East Burwood/Bennettswood CC will be hosting a ladies luncheon on behalf of Box Hill Reporter District CA to raise funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation. It will be held at East Burwood Sporting Club (East Burwood Reserve – behind Nunawading Basketball Stadium) at 12noon.
The National Breast Cancer Foundation is the only national not-for-profit organization that is dedicated to supporting high quality research into the prevention, detection and treatment of Breast Cancer. Since being established in 1994, the foundation has awarded more than $44.5 million to 168 breast cancer research projects across Australia. Initiatives such as this function make a vital contribution towards allowing the foundation to continue its work.
By attending the luncheon and buying a pink ribbon or wristband, you have the chance to make a difference to another woman’s life. McIntosh Shield clubs have been pre-allocated a table of 8 for the function. During the day there will guest speakers, raffles and door prizes. There will be plenty of merchandise for you to purchase on the day to support this wonderful cause. All moneys raised will go directly to the foundation.
Responses are required A.S.A.P. – No later than 8 September 2008 to confirm the numbers for your club, as there are limited seats available. The cost per person will be $25.00 which includes a 2 course meal. Drinks can be purchased at the bar. Please forward the names of ladies attending and make your cheque payable to:

BOX HILL REPORTER DISTRICT CRICKET UMPIRES' ASSOCIATION(posted 1 Aug '08) Meeting dates for 2008/09 - New President
At their recent AGM the umpires' association elected Ray Fisher as President while re-electing Russell Punton as Secretary and Steve Markwell as Treasurer. Meeting dates, some yet to be confirmed, were also published for season 2008/09.
Anyone interested in umpiring should contact Russell Punton(03 9873 2757 ah) for information on how to become a member of the Umpires' Association and receive the necessary training.

East Burwood-Bennettswood CC was established in 1993 after the merger of the East Burwood and Bennettswood Cricket Clubs and has a proud history in the BHRDCA.
We are looking to fill the position of Playing Coach or Senior Player for season 2008/09 and beyond.
If you have something in the works that you need promoted then why not submit it to the BHRDCA for inclusion here. This page is dedicated to helping our affiliates promote their activities further afield ensuring maximum exposure.
* Please note that all 80 over per day games start at 1:00pm and 65 over per day games at 1:30pm. Sat AM jnr games start at 8:30am.
Veterans' and Under 10 fixtures are available for download here. * Veterans' over 40 and Legends' cricket is now also serviced by MyCricket.
* Because we comply with the VMCU standard draw but don't use all available dates of play the posted round numbers for 1-day and jnr competitions are out of sinc. As a result you should rely only on fixture dates and ignore the round numbers.
