VCR AND MYCRICKET: (updated: 24 Nov '09) By mid October, after a brief period of familairization with recent system upgrades, all clubs are expected to be on top of the MyCricket competition management requirements for online scores lodgement. A brief outline of these is also available for download from the "Information for Club Administrators" file. The following proceedures will be fine tuned from time to time as considered necessary so it would be wise to revisit this page periodically. During the season any changes will temporarily appear highlighted in traditional colour coding, underlined blue for additions and strike-through red for deletions, or green text for a general re-write. MyCricket VCR of all pre-existing players must be "reconfirmed" for 2009/10 prior to the start of competition. Unregistered players WILL MEAN LOSS OF MATCH POINTS for all effected matches and heavy fines where offenders have no match points to lose. You must ensure that all players are properly registered both online and traditionally as applicable. Un-registered is also un-insured. Club administrators are reminded of the time-line for compliance with online match reporting and related issues. Home clubs are charged with responsibility for providing the 'official' match result, team scores and player performance for both sides. Appropriate avenues are available for an away club to lodge a dispute (by consultation) or protest a result (snr rule 12, jnr rule 36). Prior to scheduled start of match (preferably by 8pm Thursday) - Clubs are to ensure that a duly signed clearance on the approved BHRDCA form, where required under rule 10, is lodged with the Registrar. ALTERNATIVELY YOU MAY USE THE ONLINE MYCRICKET CLEARANCE FUNCTION for this purpose. Where no clearance is required then it is sufficient to use the MyCricket transfer funtion which will allow inclusion of the player in match reports on MyCricket. If it is intended that a player's primary MyCricket registration (profile) be moved from one club to another then this requires a MyCricket clearance even if no clearance is required under BHRDCA eligibility rules. Most players will also be required to register with their new club using the approved BHRDCA form. NOTES: * Permit applications will only be accepted on an appropriately signed form submitted to the chairman of our Permits & Clearance Committee. Any appeals against clearance determinations are also heard by the Permit & Clearance Committee. Permit applications to be considered by this committee must be hand delivered to Blackburn CC before 8pm on Thursday before the match to which they relate. Any permit applications other than those coming under rule 10(d)(iii) must be notified to the sub-committee chair by phone in advance. * Player clearances processed online using the MyCricket function are still subject to the same timelines as are specified in our rules. Users need to be aware that there is a 4 day variance between the length of our 'non-response period' (14 days) and that allowed for in MyCricket (10 days). Any MyCricket clearance application not dealt with in 10 days will be processed automatically by the online competition management system but the player will NOT BE ELIGIBLE for a further 4 days assuming that neither the originating club has given written approval in the interim nor that a subsequent rejection has been successfully appealed.
Prior to 7pm & 8pm Game-Days (30 minutes earlier during daylight saving) - Home clubs are to phone-in a daily progress report as required.
Prior to 6pm on the Sunday Following commencement of the match (Monday for Sunday games) - Home clubs are to enter daily progress scores. Prior to this time, both clubs must also have entered and saved their teams in MyCricket for the match.
Prior to 8pm Thursday after scheduled start of match - Both Clubs are to ensure that a duly signed registration on the approved BHRDCA form, for all new players (those who weren't registered with the BHRDCA last season), is lodged with the Registrar. In addition ALL players are to be appropriately entered in the Victorian Cricket Registration (VCR) Programme through MyCricket.
Prior to 6pm on the Sunday Following completion of the match (Monday for Sunday games) - Home Clubs are to enter the match result (score summary) online in MyCricket - ie. the result including both teams' scores and sundries (notable performances are generated by the system). Appropriate avenues for disputing scores (by consultation) or protesting results (snr rule 12, jnr rule 36) are available. Once confirmed the match result can't be edited so make sure it is accurately completed first.
Prior to 8pm Tuesday after completion of match - Home clubs are Each club is to enter its own player scores (scorecard) for both teams. With the home club having entered a match result as required after conclusion of the game, it is a responsibility of the away club to confirm it, formally protest the result (rule 12) or raise an online dispute to lock the match prior to this time. Failure to complete this task on time is deemed to be confirmation of the match result. * MyCricket disputes are not a formal 'protest' raised under rule 12 (snr) or rule 36 (jnr) and are to be resolved between participating clubs. Raising an online dispute will automatically lock the match concerned. Once agreement is reached the home club shall email the Registrar (Cc the opposition) requesting that the match be re-set to allow access for making required corrections. If no further objection is raised then the Registrar will re-lock the match. The MyCricket dispute function is not to be used (consult by phone) except for the purpose of locking a match to prevent your opponent from making alterations prior to any formal inquiry, or a protest under rule 12 (rule 36 in juniors). * Generally, a formal protest will involve the match result while a MyCricket dispute will be over the detail (scores, sundries, player performances etc) and easily settled by phone.
Prior to 8pm Thursday after completion of match - All 'disputes' must be resolved by participating clubs prior to this time after which all matches will be locked by the association.
Re-Set Match -
No match that requires re-setting to allow data entry will remain unlocked for longer than three days. Re-setting a match removes any associated match points from the ladder until up to 24 hours after it is re-submitted. Once locked out you may not be able to re-gain access for making alterations.
Combined Junior Teams - Because jointly enetered teams are listed under the first named club all responsibility for association compliance is theirs. By default, this is also the club that will be charged for the team's registration fee. The first named club is able to provide MyCricket access to their account by someone from the second named club to enter online results and scores. Where responsibility for compliance is transfered the association must be informed formally by the Secretary or Junior Coordinator of the first named club and confirmed by the second named.
